Tesla Model S Signature Performance - arrived!

Dailydriver, how are you getting on with the Tesla Model S Signature?

I'm so irritated that we cant have the Tesla in the UK for at least another year.

I took delivery of my Model S last Monday, since I live in the bay area was able to just drive up to the factory to pick it up. Best part was they gave us a tour, went from rolls of aluminum thru final test, truly an amazing exp. for any car lover. Car it self is really great, I have the Performance and large battery also air suspension and panoramic glass roof. Its really a rocket in a strait line, just scary fast as there is no sound esp. vs my Stasis tune at 7K. Driving is good but I have not tried any really fast corners.

Overall I love it, very disappointed to have no parking sensors and folding mirrors.

No parking sensors?! You serious on a car like that and at that price. Was it not an option?

The backup camera is an option, and mine works great. It can be dsplayed at any time, not just when backing up. The mirrors do fold, manually.

Various opinions on Tesla as a company. Sink or soar in 2013? It would be a crying shame if it did not succeed.

I just picked up my model S performance. It is nice and smooth. To me it is a perfect compliment to the R8 spyder MT I have as someone else mentioned earlier. It certainly wont replace the R8 for fun, but as my main car for the kids and work it will be excellent.

Congrats! That instant electric torque is going to get addictive, and before you know it, nothing else will feel the same.
