Looks like Chevy is really upping their game. Audi needs to take note, this is likely a worthy competitor!

Welcome to R8Talk. I'm here to keep R8Talk clean, running smoothly, and organized. Please read the FAQ: Audi R8 Introduction and Road Map. Since I can't read every post, or welcome every new member, I'd like you to help me out. Please PM me if you see anything on R8Talk which needs my attention. "I have quattro. Eat my dust."

Seems way underpowered at 450hp. Interior finally looks a little better. I like the 7 speed manual but would rather have the tried & true tough tremec 6speed. If it cost anywhere near a new viper I think I would rather take the viper.
I saw the unveiling on youtube and I think the design will have to grow on me. It looks like they took a lot of design influences from other cars and overall it doesn't blend very well to me. But maybe after I see it in person it'll look much better. I'd be concerned with build quality for first year models, but I'm sure the performance will be awesome. I got rid of my ZR1 because there are just too many corvettes everywhere you go, and GM loves to share the parts between all of the models. Not sure if I'd ever buy another Corvette, but I'll keep my eye on the C7 especially when the high performance model(s) are revealed. I thought about getting the new Viper, but the reviews state the suspension is too stiff for even track use combined with uncomfortable seats makes me want to wait until I can experience the car first hand.

I can see Ferrari, Nissan GTR and Zagato design in there, real tasty!
Loving it.

I have always hated vettes. I wonder if this one performs as well as it looks. I actually like it.

I saw the live streaming last night at 7pm. So many on various corvette forums were eagerly awaiting this. In owning 3 corvettes in the past, here are my thoughts.
The front looks very nice. The rear is an abomination. It looks like a friggin camaro. I can’t believe GM did that. We saw similar camaro-like pics on the corvette forum many months ago and almost everyone laughed. We all thought, No way would GM make a vette have a camaro look. Well, that nightmare came to fruition for vette fans
The tail pipes don’t do it either. Its like GM said, “Well, we couldnt think of anything else to do with the exhaust but we knew we had to do something so we decided to line them up in a row of 4”. They could have changed the shape a bit or simply kept a round pipe look but made them larger. The “row of 4” look IMO shows lack of imagination.
Considering the vette will be in front of most cars, it is important not to screw up the rear and IMO, they did
