Nissan GTR Top Gear track 1:19:70

No question its a great performance achievement by Nissan but frankly I cannot imagine having a GTR instead of an R8 they are simply not interchangable. The R8 is a design achievement and a stellar high (but not super/hyper) performance car that has separately itself from any car within $50,000 of its price. The GTR is a super-performance Nissan and IMO has the design interest of a maxima. I am not trying to demean the GTR, trust me I would love to have BOTH but if I can only have one the R8 would be the only choice for me. I agree with those that would choose the GTR as a dedicated track car not because the GTR is not a very capable everyday car (by all accountants it is) but because it is clearly a superior track car.

its all about the smile, ill have a much bigger smile getting into my r8 (coming in 6 weeks) then getting into the GTR thats all that counts

if you drive on the level of the STIG it might makes a different driving a V10 or GT-R otherwise don't worry
