    Nissan GT-R SpecV
    Something wicked this way...isn't coming.

    As much as it pains us to begin a story with bad news, we're sad to report that the new Nissan GT-R SpecV won't be headed to our shores in 2009. The company, now headquartered in Yokohama, Japan, recently unveiled the car to the Japanese public, saying that it will go on sale there on February 2. The price for this machine: $175,419 (using the exchange rate at the time of writing). It's a pretty steep asking price in these financially challenging times — almost twice the price of a base GT-R.

    I don't think it's necessarily bad news that a $175K Nissan isn't going to fester for months on the showroom floors of a few dealerships around the nation..........

    Nissan made a good decision on this. They would have a very difficult time to sell this car here in the states with that price tag. One can pick up a Superleggera for $170k now
