    New here

    Unfortunately, i do not have a r8, but i have dreams...right?

Figured i would introduce myself and ask a few questions.

Mike, i'm 25 and have high hopes of saving money to purchase an R8 in 10ish years, haha. My background is mustangs, but just recently sold them to purchase a daily car. Ended up settling on a 06 mazdaspeed 6, fun little car decent mpg and hopefully gives me 10ish + years of service, ha.

Just finished my MA in Graphic Arts (if anyone needs some help or something done, let me know) back in December and hoping to find a career soon in this economy. But my real passion is to eventually open a higher-level shop working on some more prestigious vehicles (not mustangs, haha). I want to do some real quality work and somethings that have never seen before, innovation. Working with quality people that love their cars.

    anyway, now for some questions...

Anyone got any suggestions or help in ways i can invest or save that have worked well for you? I've been watching the market lately, but thats about it.

What is everyone (states) spending on insurance, just ball park it or pm me. Very interested as this is obviously another expense.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

As for insurance, I'm 26 and my wife is 25, we pay a combined premium of approx $1,800 a year with excellent coverage from State Farm. I thought the premium would be a lot more, but luckily it wasn't. I had a 2001 TT roadster before and the R8 was only $500 more a year for the two of us. Hope this helps.

Harrison, our pretrol reserves are far from depleting. Trust me on that one. It's part of the price leveling strategies used in manipulating the supply and demand. An uncle of mine is highly ranked at the OPEC office in Turkey; got that from him. (Yes, I know Turkey is not know to be an oil producer but they control the logistics/flow of it from countries around it.)

So, have fun driving ur V8s, V10s and V12s (W16s if u own a Veyron)!

The R8 would also look nice as a coffin . Remove the engine and seats. Put the dead body inside (upper body in engine compartment). No need to have the coffin open to see the person inside, it's glass!

    Ok, it's a joke.
