He breaks into some oversteer on some of the corners and but holds on perfectly (some of that is driver, some of that is a nice handling car). I drove a friend's M5 on my track last week and it is probably the best performance sedan on the market (I used to have an E55 and the M5 is a better car).

Did anyone notice the "Audi R8 V10" sign at the finish?

Yeah , That's a HUGE R8 V10 banner on the bridge !! A vid of an R8 doing a lap with ASR/ESP on and a lap with ASR/ESP off comparo would be interesting .

The Ring is such a nice place , Groomed and guardrails both sides , Beutiful ! The driver was doing great..a little fatigued at the end of run - He accidently turned on his WIPERS !! Not sure if the Standard transmission models have a Sport mode option...do they ??

Question for M T...Does race gas affect the catalytic convertor??

Unleaded racing gasoline, no. Leaded gasoline of any type, yes, it very quickly renders your expen$ive catalytic converters ineffective, coating them with a lead based compound.

I've found that using high octane (unleaded) fuels doesn't help noticably with today's electronically controlled engines. The ECU adjusts to keep things running just as they were, unfortunately. It really requires a software change to get a big advantage from high octane racing fuels. Other track rats I've driven with confirmed that.
