Get with the program guys:
Links to two deleted threads

Sticky ... and everyone else here I suppose.
All the moderators here delete inappropriate threads when we are either made aware of them, or are browsing the site and spot them.
Ekool, who runs the site, is (as far as I am aware) looking at ways to minimise the ability of spammers to make such posts. I sent him a PM about this a while ago, but I don't know how easy it is to do, or if the software used on this site is capable of effectively preventing such posts.
I appreciate that some members will have children who are interested in the R8 and are liable to visit the site, therefore offering them the ability to click on inappropriate links. We do what we can, within the confines of the software used and the time we have, to remove such links and posts as quickly as we can.
I'm sure all the moderators will continue to delete anything we feel is inappropriate and act upon any e-mail we get as a result of a member reporting an inappropriate post or thread.
Fingers crossed Ekool will find a way of preventing such unwanted posts some time soon. If you have any knowledge of how spammers can be prevented from making such posts, maybe you could send a PM to Ekool.
Gone but not forgotten ...
VW Golf V6 4motion (does just what it says on the tin)
Vauxhall Lotus Carlton (a beast of a motorway cruiser)
Honda NSX, manual JDM (a beauty to drive anywhere)
Audi RS4, B7 saloon (awesome on any road - or track)
There is no foolproof way to ever prevent someone from spamming. Vbulletin does not have anything built in to it specifically for this but has many tools to minimize it, moderating new threads, attachments, banning certain ip's, etc.
As long as new registrations are open there is always the possibility unless you make it so that you need a minumum number of posts before being able to create a thread in OT which can be done relatively easily.
Anyway, the best way to keep order is for the mods to browse frequently![]()

Isn't there a way to implement those 'type the encrypte code that you see here' methodes that many other forums use? I am quite certain that this is an option in vbulletin.
EDIT: This option is already on. That means that the people who post this rubbish on the forum are people, not bots. Then it is real hard to control this. Maybe give one or a few other people mod powers?

ekool its been a while since we heard from him?????????????
Two more:
most likely the same person, check the post IP and ban the entire domain. I assume the option in vbulletin is checked to ban the e-mail address the registered under as well to prevent future registrations.
