It's based on several people. If you track very often you will meet this guy in one form or another fairly regularly. Or maybe you will see a bit of him in your own mirror.
The main thing to remember is that on the track, your car will not really appear very impressive to the experienced track rats and instructors. Believe me, they have seen everything. What will be impressive is the way you approach learning the art form of hi-performance driving.
At the track no one is going to be impressed if you pass cars with a smaller performance envelope. But if you don't take learning the driving skills very seriously, you WILL regularly be passed by those cars with a much smaller performance envelope, by good drivers who learn and learn and learn some more. So use instructors when ever possible. Even after you have been checked out for solo driving. I still do it regularly too.
Learning hi-performance driving skills is forever a hugely humbling experience. There is ALWAYS someone faster, with better skills. So always wear your humility and your smile proudly at the track. The track is much more about you and your skills, and NOT about the car you drive. So leave the ego at home, listen to your instructors and have fun.

In any thing you always get some one who thinks there god like
Never had a instructor ever I tend to attend track days with the same person who is very good drifter and time attack driver so I do get decent advice and follow there lines.
Me and my evo friend always get put with hatchbacks. I don't mind 95% get out the way and let us put fast laps down. I think with driving your always learning and feeling. I do find it hard to go from drifting to grip especially if its the same track.
