My Q5 got hit while parked, any suggestions/input

Didn't notice the damage until I got home (incident happened at night); wife was the first to notice it this morning. This never happened to me before and I have a $2000 deductible on the policy. Any suggestions/input is/are mighty appreciated, including work related costs for a shop (to help guide me in the search). And of course, no one left their insurance information, lol.

Just from looking at it, that'll probably cost you around $2000 (maybe a bit less, maybe a bit more) to get fixed anyway. No need to get insurance involved with that high of a deductible.

My son has done a feeler before -- and was successful. He called the insurance company and asked them about their typical procedures for "hit and run" related incidents anonymously, and whether or not they would waive the deductible under that circumstance. He got a sense from them that they would waive the deductible, and proceeded to file a police report even after the fact. He called back and gave them his information and sure enough, got the vehicle fixed without paying a dime.

Maybe you should speak to the Las Vegas tourism bureau. Obviously someone took their advertising slogan a little too much to heart!

Someone who was concerned and saw what happened had left a note on the front wipers but I didn't notice it until the next morning. Person mentioned that he/she saw a siler/gray/blue Mercedes leave quickly and he/she didn't get a chance to get the plate number.

Talk about Mercedes trying to off Audi..this is getting too much out of hand.

Pretty awful behavior on the part of the Mercedes driver. You are a better person than I for maintaining a sense of humor about it!
