    8.9 Earthquake/Tsunami hits Japan

That sucker was huge. We were up in the Akigawa Mountains (SW of Tokyo) and were rocked hard…fearing a major landslide we bolted the heck out.

We've been getting aftershock after aftershock…biggest being 7.4

I know Its crazy I've been reading up on it a few friends are in tokyo all ok thank god.

I hope you and your family are ok akiruno.

I read they evacuated Hawaii and the west coast of the states is at risk too.

Strange I was reading about the moon been closer to the earth for years and that it could cause a earthquake just the other day.

Its scary with all this earthquakes, floods, dead birds/fish whats going on.

Just seen the vision of the tsunami's rolling in across the land in some areas of Japan.

Terrifying power in taking anything and everything in its path.

A historic event that sadly will have a large casualty list.

Hopefully this is the big one that the "smart guys" said would hit Japan. I failed to factor in the far reaching distraction the resulting Tsunami would cause…the rest of the globe is not out of the woods yet.

Glad you're alright! Is there a lot of damage around? Continuous threats of Tsunami's?

It is truly global when a huge earthquake in Japan can take out dozens of boats in the Santa Cruz Yacht harbor and cause millions of $s in damage.
