Exclamation Poor guy! Have you guys ever experienced this?

    Hi,all

I'm a fan of R8. When I was searching the information about R8 on the net, I happened to read an article on edmund's inside line Long-Term Road Tests. Below is the link:

    Rock One, Tire Zero

This guy's flat tire experience was weird and a little interesting and he wrote,"Such is life with a brand new supercar". It seems a little that the R8's tires are easy to be destroyed. What a pity! Such a good car comes with such a set of bad tires.

So have you guys experienced this? I hope you not.

I think a few of us have experience the non-air holding tire.

I had one of those dreaded P-Zeros find a screw about 2K into owning the car and recently had a pot hole put a nice little gash in the sidewall of one of my front Soto-Zeros. No rim damage, luckily. First tire was fixed with an internal vulcanized patch. Second tire was fixed by replacement.

Not had any issues with the Michelins - three sets worth thus far. And now that I've said this, I'll find a nail/screw/something sharp on the way down the drive this morning...

It is sort of funny that a 'super-car' comes with a can of fix-a-flat, an air pump and no jack.

Gotta admire his attitude with this, I'd be slightly more animated!

This is pretty much a first post trolling for controversy. Every car with 35 or 30 series low profile tires can shred a tire if you hit a rock on a mountain road. It has nothing to do with the car being an R8. Thread closed.
