    Watches....

Based on previous experience it seems that good taste in cars goes hand in hand with good taste in watches. To test this out on the R8 it would be fun to hear what watch/watches you wear on your wrist.
If you have pics, post up also!

I am hoping there are some real watch connoisseurs on here.
I have seen at least one picture on a member out there with a Hublot on his wrist, so I know you are out there.

I'll start it off. I have a Breitling Chronomat that I got 2 years ago. I ordered it directly from the factory in Switzerland as the combination I was after (steel bracelet and roman numerals on the dial) was not made at that time.
I am currently dreaming about a Hublot, but the one I really like costs $ 30.000 which is ALOT more than I am wiling to pay for a watch...

    Re: Watches....

I pretty much exclusively wear an Oris Artelier Chronograph automatic. Had it for a few years now and it goes with anything. Can't find anything I want to replace it with. Doesn't stop me looking though - I read the ablogtoread.com rss feed every day just in case.

I have a bunch of "tech" watches around me that never get worn, an original 1970's Pulsar LED, A Phosphur e-ink watch, a Casio Edifice Wave Ceptor EQW-M1000DB-1AER which I bought on a whim when I was getting the Oris serviced. I had a Breitling Professional B1, but as I wasn't wearing it I gave it to my Nephew as it seemed a waste.

I had never heard of the Oris watch before, had to google it. I LOVE it!! Do you wear it with a steel bracelet, or leather? Grey/black dial?
Looks like a watch that goes really good with a nice suit.

I also have a Garmin Forerunner 405CX (GPS-watch) for when I run or go mountain hiking.

Steel with black dial for me. They changed the guilloche on the dial on the newer version, personally I prefer the simplicity of the old style guilloche

I like watches too. They have watch mags just like car mags. I currently alternate wearing a Rolex Sub and a Panerai Luminor auto, titanium 44mm, brown dial.

To me my watch will go perfect with my triple black V10 Spyder.

Monho, you have good taste, we have the same watch.. The Pannie 088.

After having Rolexes for ages and discovering Panerai. bye bye Rollies.

They are a great watch and gets you a lot of compliments.

    Hublot Big Bang.
I have two of them and I just love the look and the feel of the watches.

I've worn a Rolex President for over 25 years. It's had 2 overhauls for $300.00 each and it still keeps somewhat reasonable time. It's the only jewelry I wear.
