Does anyone thinks this will compete with the R8?
It will have the same HP and same weight but for 20-30k less?!?!
imho itll be pushing it trying to beat an rs4 never mind r8
The last of the ... 'straight 6' (E46?) ... BMW M3s would not really be able to keep up with a current RS4 ... it's quicker in a straight line and with quattro drive it is quicker round the bends too.
But, now BMW have gone to a V8 ... things might not be so clear cut ... I suspect the RS4 may still just have the edge in the real world ... but on paper I don't think there will be much between them.
Although I have to agree ... it wouldn't keep up with an R8.
Gone but not forgotten ...
VW Golf V6 4motion (does just what it says on the tin)
Vauxhall Lotus Carlton (a beast of a motorway cruiser)
Honda NSX, manual JDM (a beauty to drive anywhere)
Audi RS4, B7 saloon (awesome on any road - or track)
M3 engine specs:
3999ccm/V8
309kw(420hp)/8300rpm(limiter 8400rpm)
400Nm/3900rpm(360Nm/2500-7900rpm)
12.0:1 compression
