This car will be phenominal! I am trying to push my brother away from the amg scene so that he will buy this car when it comes out instead of an SLK. I hope he chooses the only option in my opinion, the m3.

The last of the ... 'straight 6' (E46?) ... BMW M3s would not really be able to keep up with a current RS4 ... it's quicker in a straight line and with quattro drive it is quicker round the bends too.

But, now BMW have gone to a V8 ... things might not be so clear cut ... I suspect the RS4 may still just have the edge in the real world ... but on paper I don't think there will be much between them.

Although I have to agree ... it wouldn't keep up with an R8.
