    Tundra vs F150

Means I'm down to the R8 now

The 458 will be delivered to new york and the R8s going to her new home next month.
I'm also waiting for the contracts to be signed as my business is sold :S

I'm off to the states in a few days 2 weeks road trip and 1-2 weeks looking at houses in idaho and utah.

anyway back to the question I'm in the market for a truck I've never driven ether but 2 dealers say they can get me ether one within a few weeks.

    so tundra or F150?

F150. No contest. The new 3.5L V6 Ecoboost, 0-60 in 5.9 secs, V8 power with V6 fuel economy. If you want to stick with a V8, the 6.2L is powerful but fuel economy will suffer. The Tundra had the old 5.4L F150, but not anymore. 3.5L Ecboost easily has the 5.7L Tundra. The F150 Supercrew is better in terms of interior feel and space. The Platinum edition is incredible in terms of luxury and features. I would test drive them both though and see how you feel about each. The Tundra may be a tad bit smoother on road, but it doesn't compare to the F150 when you actually use it as a truck.

Probably not what you're looking for, but a car-guy buddy of mine has a new Ford crew-cab with the Diesel and he LOVE'S it! Can't say enough about the powerplant and the "neck-snapping, stump pulling torque".! He claims he's had it up to 110 mph and "it was sold as a rock." And it's got top flight electronic bells & whistles typical of the Ford top line I guess.

Not MY cup of tea but I guess it's the King of Pickups! Just FWIW.

Can't really comment on the Ford. But, I really like my Tundra a lot. I have an '11 CrewMax, Platinum. Back seats recline, smooth, comfy, and powerful. I have the TRD exhaust on it - nice deep rumbly V-8 sound that you'd never expect from a Toyota. We drive it across the country, and it's just as comfy as my wife's Sequoia.

^^ That's important too. Although I don't have a Tundra, I know that the people that do have them have nothing but great things to say about them. I would say that if you're not hauling or going off road or being tough on your truck, either would work. If you are being tough on it, I would say the F150 is better. Plus, just look at the torque curve.

I should mention from what I've heard, the Ecoboost fuel economy takes a serious hit when modifying these trucks with any lifts, bigger tires etc.
