Thinking of taking R8 on roadtrip south to Miami from Chicago in 2 weeks..snow tires?

Or should I keep summers on?

Stick w/the summer sneakers. You'll only need winter rubber closer to Chicago - and probably no weather to warrant it for now.

Two years ago in January I took my A8L to Orlando from MN with Blizzards on. I was very nervous about ruining my winter tires. I thought I made a mistake using my winter tires until I got to the Iowa border. It was black ice for the last 100 miles. I don't think I would have made it home without my winter tires on the car. I was slipping a little even with the winter tires.
