    "low fly zones"

how many of you have one? I have one that I will not identify for obvious reasons. Just curious how many others have a little sweet spot scoped out.

and for that matter, am I the only dork that has actually "named" their car? lol

There are always areas where the road is perfect, the site lines long, and the RF interference minimal. Heck, my kids even know those -- years ago my then 16-year-old daughter commented to me, "Dad, did you know that the Corolla goes 100?"

Best laugh of the day! Thanks.

My "low fly zone" used to be the Black Rock dry lake, where there is 50 miles of nothing, and no speed limit. If you are going to break the sound barrier on land, you probably want to do it there. The surface is as slippery as soap, though - it's scary.

Heading that way, there's about 70 miles of narrow paved road between two tiny one-horse towns. I remember coming home along that road at, oh, I don't know, close to the sound barrier, until I finally hit the other town and a 25 mph school zone. I laughed hysterically at how, at that moment, 25 felt slower than getting out and pushing.

    Re: "low fly zones"

We have a few great roads in central Fl where there is NO LE.

I call it the FL Autobahn, 10 miles of windy roads on a 2 lane road ladden with farms on each side.

Of course the location is top secret.
