Question Waxing - when the car is new, or in a few months?

I've had my R8 for a week now.

Should I spend a few hours waxing it on Sunday, or wait until water no longer beads, in a few months ?

This is my daily driver. I want it to look good, but I don't aim for concours standards.

TIA for any thoughts and suggestions.

People have been telling me not to wax until after a few months as the factory stuff is better than most places. I guess it depends on wear and tear, and how good is your detailer.
No more R8...Jing jing sold after a year with only 7000km. A people mover as replacement.

    you should protect it asap...

synthetics last longer than waxes, but either is much better than nothing!

doesnt have to take very long either. a very quick wax is p21s- wipe on wipe off (after you wash and dry of course!)- the easiest synthetic is prob finish first. when i started out, i used finish first (coupla coats) and topped it with p21s. but you can also use just either one.

ASAP! On the factory they use normal Sonax wax.

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant is the best!
