Silicon based wax

I just want to ask the expert here with regards to wax. I am now looking at choosing a detailer but am getting contrasting info. A friend advice me against using any detail products that are silicon based because although they gives a higher shine they bond with the paint. If you have an accident and needs to touch up then the paint will not go on because the new paint cannot bond with the old one. Is this true or not?

Antisilicone products are being routinely applied by body shops before painting.

No matter what you do, your car's exterior will pick up silicone, so don't base your decision on your friend's advice.
