Black Audi R8

Just got my new car and thought I would post a few pics of the best way to spend a Sunday!!!! 5 hours of detailing!!!! The car had been prep'd by the main dealer, but as ever it wasn’t a very good job with plenty of swirls in the paint!

The process
1. Rinse with Karcher
2. Supa Snow Foam
3. Hosepipe rinse
4. Swissvax paint rubber
5. Hosepipe rinse
6. Clean wheels : Bilberry with EZ brush
7. ZYMOL car wash with lamb’s wool mit and two buckets
8. Dry with Chemical Guys – Miracle dryer ultra towel
9. Polish with Porta Cable and Poorboys SSR1
10. Menzerna finishing touch glaze
11. R222 wax
12. Wheel’s wax with R222 and then sealed with Auto Glym wheel sealant.
13. Tyres dressed with Auto Glym tyre dressing.
14. Engine and interior finished with 303 Aerospace Protectant.

Congratulations on your new R8.

Dealer preparation is always a concern as far as paint is concerned.One of the new cars(black) i got 3 years ago had so many swirls.
It had a buffer machine applied by a apprentice and would have been one of the worst around.
The dealer had to have the car for 2 days to try and rectify it and still to the day it is still not 100%.Thank god it was a company car.

8. Dry with Chemical Guys – Miracle dryer ultra towel

What's your call on the CG MF towel? Good results? Any complains? How would you compare it to another MF you used before?

I am looking to get couple MF towels from CG myself, wanted to know.

Nope, its on the 'right' side!!!!

Steering should be in the middle with a seat on each side !! A three person racer. Another thing Audi has probably already thought of. We love our Le Mans Quatros either way!! Pike 98,Is your Quatro Black or Phantom Black? I can't tell from those beutiful pics.I saw a T V commercial about the new Cannon camara that also shoots H.D. video.Is this your camara??
