    Pressure Washer: Too much pressure?

I know a number of people seem to recommend pressure washers/foam lances during car cleaning. I was wondering how much pressure / at what distance is best. And is the only advantage quickness, since I'm a bit worried about the pressure causing damage to the paint. The lowest pressure machine I could locate was '100 bar max' and a maximum water flow of 340 liters per hour. Any danger with a machine like that?

With a little distance between your wand and the paint ,you should be safe. A deep chip blasted directly could strip car of paint. Scary thought. Find a soap hook up and using low setting you almost have the touchless wash/soap system the Pro.s use.

Keep any pressure washer a good couple of feet away from tyre side walls too.

Alright thanks a lot guys, I think I'll test it at a good distance on something other than the R8 to start with just to get a feel of how much pressure is involved
