Autoglym Life Shine

Hi all

Eventually got round to buying an R8, but noticed on the original invoice from when the car was new an item for Autoglym at £395. When I bought the car he said it had Life Shine applied when new.

My question is, should you polish the car with Autoglym products, or will this damage the Life Shine, or even possible remove it all together. Or leave it well alone because it shouldn't need to be polished in the first place.

I had that on my v8 and they provided a bunch of products to be used to "keep up" the lifeshine which included the super resin polish. I couldn't really see what the point of a treatment is that requires you to essentially retreat the car to supposedly keep up the original treatment. I didn't bother with it on the v10.
