OK to use car cover in this situation? Canadian winter in a garage

Recently put my car into storage and put the stain stretch indoor car cover on it. Then my friend warned me he read about moisture damage from storing under a cover (not sure if this is only outside or in garages too)

Do you guys think it's safe to keep the car covered in the garage during Canadian winter? It will probably get down to -10C or so in the garage in the colder parts of winter.

I don't have any direct experience with your winters. I could see where an outside-type cover might trap condensation, but I have the Audi indoor-only satin stretch cover and it is very breathable. I wouldn't expect it to cause any problems with trapped moisture.

You shouldn't have any issues with the cover in a Canadian winter. I have stored cars in unheated buildings in the past with other much more substantial 'breathable' all weather fabric covers and never had an issue in the Ottawa area. Particularly the satin cover, it is very breathable.

I have the R8 stretch fabric poly cover and I'm very happy with it's use. No problem with moisture in winter
