Audi R8 Pipercross Air Filters Now In Stock!


Having helped Pipercross develop a high performance air filter kit for the R8 V8 several weeks ago, APS are delighted to say that we now have the finished product in stock.


The kit is made up of a replacement pair of high performance air filter cones with fitting brackets attached to allow a simple drop in replacement. Don't forget these are life time fitment and only require cleaning at every service.

Harrison - No problem, more pictures to follow soon.

SteveL - We do normally always suggest fitting air filters with improved flow over stock as the more air we can get into the engine, the better. These will compliment the exhaust very nicely.

decksurgeon - I have a R8 here to have a kit fitted, will be on Monday now so I'll take some pictures and post up. It is quite easy to install if you are confident you can take the air box lid off.

Do these maintain the stock induction sound?

Yeah, hope it makes more roar and not mute the exo sound further.

The induction sound is unchanged because we do not change the air box casing at all, just the filters. Agreed it would be nice to have some more induction sound but then we would need to design a new air box which, in this case, was not possible.

I thought I noticed a LITTLE louder deeper sound from the airbox area after installing the PPI filter kit. SMALL but there.

If only induction sound was increased exponentially aswell as possible performance gains then these would have been a nice upgrade.
