You're entitled to your opinion ... as is everyone ... although I suspect most users here would ... disagree with you.

If you've not seen the R8 in the flesh ... as it were ... then I think you'll be plesantly surprised when you do see one ... if you've seen one in the flesh and you think it is ugly ... well, I'd be surprised.

Many people thought the original TT looked odd ... weird ... ugly ... and various other non complimentary things ... but, I think the more people see the old (or new) TT ... the more they like it ... although obviously there'll always be exceptions ... I've never been a great lover the visual appeal of the old TT ... plus, I'm still not sure of the new TT ... and I drive past an Audi showroom every day I go to work!

But, the R8 is ... in my eyes ... a lovely looking car ... yes its lines share similarities with the TT ... but, it is a great looking car ... in my eyes.

Not sure why someone in an R8 site would comment that the car is ugly. Certainly you are entitled to your opinion... but would suggest you visit another forum.
