R8Talk New Feature: The Garage

R8Talk has a nice new feature: The Garage.
It is located right in the middle of the upper banner line.

The Garage allows you to share your vehicles, and any modifications that may have been done to them, with everyone.

You can upload up to ten vehicles into your Garage.

You have the option of setting your Garage to be open to the public for everyone to see, open to Friends Only or strictly private.

It has some nice functions and is quite easy to navigate via a pull down Menu:

• Member Garages
• Browse by Username
• Browse Recently Added
• Browse Recently Modified
• Browse Most Popular
• Advanced Search
• Help

There's a General Information section, which will allow up to four pictures to be attached. This section allows for the basic description of your vehicle including things like make/model, color, year model, packages and history.

There's also a Modification section that's broken down into six categories:

1. Exterior
2. Interior
3. In-Car Entertainment
4. Under The Hood
5. Suspension
6. Wheels & Tire

Each of these sections allows for specific information to be posted and also gives the option of attaching up to three pictures.

To those who have listed their cars in the Garage, thank you. I've enjoyed seeing what our members are driving/riding/flying/etc!

Other than a few early adopters, there has not been as much activity as I would have expected. I suggest you check out the new feature which the owners of R8Talk have provided for us.

I'm looking forward to seeing your creative Garage entries!

On-topic... I dunno, I usually like features like this, but didn't really feel the "oomph" to do it. Perhaps instead of a "Garage" link on our posts, individual links to cars, or thumbnails (and/or names) automatically added to our signatures? As-is, the feature will go as unnoticed and unused as Apple's "Ping"
