I recently sold my R8 and am still learning about it. I thought the Miltek on my '08 was made in Germany.
If there were a switch style - STOCK sound and MILTEK sound. That would be my choice. (for the V8)

milltek is produced in the UK
got mine both the v8 and the v10
very nice sounding exhausts
no regrets
