    FS: 2011 R8 V8 MT6 Lava Gray

    I'm considering parting with my R8.

    3300 miles
    V8 MT6
    Titanium Package, Nav, Leather, etc.
    MSRP around $130k.

    I'm in the SF Bay Area in California. Car has been recently detailed, never been in the rain, and has not ever been to a track.

    Asking $120k.

    Can get a brand new one with R-tronic , LED lights, titanium pkg, B&O, etc for $117k (msrp $142k). Would you consider $105k?

    the key here is R tronic...kills the value of the vehicle...his manual transmission will hold the value much better.

    I find it hard to believe that an r tronic car would be cheaper than a manual used. I understand that the r tronic is less desirable now because of the new trans being released. With that being said, I can see manuals and r tronics being about the same price used.

    I've been looking for a used R8 since November. The 2008 and 2009 manual cars are selling for almost $10k more than the R-tronics.

    I have to disagree with you on the prices. Looking at Autotrader.com 2009 R-tronics are listed from $119,700-$95,000. The manuals from $119,115 -$86,000. I don't see the manuals selling for $10,000 more. Looks equal to me and prices are dependent on options and mileage too.

    I agree. In most cases, the R-tronic with the same year and similar miles will be more expensive because of the higher original MSRP.

    talk to the dealers. A better automatic transmission is coming out VERY soon - with all of the complaints about the current auto trans any cars with this set up are depreciating faster than those with a manual trans.
