SonnyD: You are digging your own grave in this R8 Forum. Search for 'Davey Dee' to see what the 'double entendre' was all about in earlier posts. The one person that is having a serious 'comprehension limitation' is YOU. All we are saying is that your scheme could have worked two years ago. And yes, back then, you could speculate by ordering an R8 to your specs (as long as they were desirable options), pay for it all by yourself (no $20,000 check as you requested of a potential third party) and still sell it at a profit after you had title in hand. This phenomenon is called the market - supply and demand. Now the market has changed. R8 supply has caught up to demand.
Would-be speculators like you are late to the party. Believe me, there are probably not many 'virgins' in this or any other car Forums. At times some of us have speculated and tried to profit re: various automotive transactions. I did it myself on two brand new BMW Z3's and one Porsche Boxster when they first came out. But I couldn't do that today on those cars...and neither will you on this v10 R8...because the market has changed and buyers don't need to take the inherent risks in your proposal, or put up front $20,000 in advance, to get a slot for a v10 R8 coupe. Do yourself a favor and just drop it. Let the legitimate #2 person on Sunset's list get the car and be done with it. If you continue to piss people off, one of them will call Sunset, or their Audi Regional Rep, and red-flag your entire fraudulent scheme. Remember, you have admitted that your contract does NOT allow you to transfer or sell your slot. What do you think your proposed scheme is all about, other than trying to circumvent a legitimate contract you willingly entered to with Sunset in the past, so that you can sell your slot for a profit? Hey, to you guys with the short post numbers. Perhaps you haven't been around long enough to realize it, but we are very fortunate to have a civil place here on this forum. It has been a place where everyone respects everyone else's opinion and realizes that people are different with different goals and desires.

I know you each believe strongly in your position. But with all due respect, trying to prove you are right is just turning into a flame war and that is not welcome by the rest of us. As for the Davey Dee corollary, I did a search. And I confess I did not peruse enough of the 259 returned posts did build an understanding of that character.

I never detected any double entendre, but I did detect some certifiable assholes hiding behind their keyboards using names that probably wouldn't even sound cool to a 12 year-old Call of Duty dork, basically just being catty bitches. They must have better things to do on this earth before they die. Kick your dog, drive a fast car, something.

As for the legal advice, you don't sound like an attorney to me, and I'm sleeping well at night, so I'll leave it at that. Assuming it was genuine, it would be easier to appreciate your concern if it had been delivered sans condescension.

As for the free market not lavishing me with rewards, well, fine. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, and my deposit is back where it started, unlike some of my other investments made 24 months ago. Anybody up for 3rd qtr 2013 G650 delivery?
