Thought they were trying to throw in a RS5 as an addition or something. So looks like I'll wait for the used market on these. I'm sure 1 or 2 will turn up. At significantly closer (probably below)to MSRP as well.

The car will be under MSRP the second it's off the lot. Don't pay a penny over MSRP.

I agree. Audi is killing themselves in this kind of pricing increase for such minimal improved benefits. I hate to see it.

But it will keep the resale value of our R8's up.

And it will inspire more serious hi quality modifications for the current R8 platform.

Just like the Porsche GT2RS and 918 Spyder. Sometimes greed is just silly.

I love my local Penske dealer's service guys, but even the sales people roll their eyes (in private!) at their new car pricing policies. Such large dealer markups just alienate their best customers, and can't help their sales volume numbers either.

I cant believe dealers in the USA are not regulated by Audi on RRP, in the UK Audi would simply not allow excess pricing and would take action. In the UK everyone pays 1 price and on new models and rare ones like the GT they wont even offer a discount as again Audi would not allow it, how can it be any different in the USA

I haven't heard of a single Audi dealership NOT marking up the MSRP on the very new, limited production high-end models.(here in the U.S. ) Maybe they figure...if John Q Public can sell at above MSRP, then so can they. (The stealerships).Sad but true.
