2009 R8 - cargo net

Hi all
anyone know how i can order a cargo net please to hang behind the rear seats? all the nets i see on-line look like they're designed for boot use

any tips gratefully received

All US spec R8s come with a cargo net across the upper (recessed, at least in the v8) part of the firewall (it's anchored at either side just below the small fixed window and across the front edge of the firewall shelf, which leads me to suspect that your Audi dealer must have that item in his parts list....apparently an option (that you don't have) in the UK...that you could order from Audi.

Almost all such items are available through the replacement parts system I believe. Get your dealer's parts man to show you the pertinent pages in the parts catalog. Unlike the situation with more common vehicles, I've seen very little of this kind of thing in the after-market that is designed specifically for the R8. You could, perhaps, adapt some generic item, but the Audi part is a neat fit.

PS: I have to correct myself: after looking back at the ordering guide I used for my 2010, I see that the "Convenience Package" WAS actually an option when I ordered (including the "parking assist system",
heated & folding mirrors, the hill holder and a "storage package" which, IIRC, included the cargo net and the little storage doors in the front edge of the seats). I now recall my salesman saying that virtually ALL US R8s were ordered that way, but that it was in fact an extra cost option (which I chose as I suspect most US buyers have), but at relatively modest cost (compared to some others!!). Nevertheless, I would bet that cargo net has a separate part # and can be ordered through Audi.

ah that's helpful thanks. I've only just taken on this 2 year old car and it has the hooks but not the net .. so maybe wasn't added as an extra when it was new. I'll wander into my Audi dealer and see if they can find me one. Thanks for taking the time ...

thanks for tracking this down - appreciated. I spoke to my Audi dealer today and they have one on order for me now for about that price. As i'm in the UK saves the shipping too
