Looking for a silver R8

Hey, long time forum fan, finally decided to pull the trigger and start looking for an R8. The local Audi dealer has a silver 08 with CF blades, alcantera inserts in the seats, navi, rear-view cam, folding mirrors, 6 speed manual, and only 3500 miles. But he's asking $97k...is that reasonable? Anybody trying to sell something similar? Not concerned how far you are. Thanks everyone!! 732-207-1367

I sure would NOT sell mine for $97K and I have 7200 miles on it.

I contacted kbb directly for resale value. They told me the R8 is so rare that they are selling for 10% less than MSRP for every year old, if the mileage is less than 7500 miles per year. So a 2009 would sell for 10% less than MSRP and a 2008 should sell for about 20% less than original MSRP. I don't know if kbb is accurate, but that is their business.

FOR A V8 and converting it back to £s i would say its a good buy, go for it, but start the offer at $94k and settle in the middle!

Any used car is only worth what the highest bidder will pay. Those formulas are bullcrap. At any time there are at least 20 R8s on ebay. Hardly a RARE car. Nice, fast, beautiful yes. RARE?......not.

There are 11 R8's in MN. I would cal that rare. There are only 1800 in the US according to AOA. How many Ferrari are in the US? What do you call rare?
