It can be put into a 3-D mode which I didn't care for ... I have seen much better implementations of it ... I just use it like a map

Does anyone know if there is a way to get "real-time" navigation from the satellite radio? Real time shows traffic slow downs and accidents.

The SAT NAV real time traffic monitoring works in Europe automatically and is free.

Since you don't reply to my emails anymore, I will try you here

When you sent back my head unit the backup camera & aux input were not operational

After about 2 hours of research and recoding my Audi tech got the backup camera working again, but aux input is still not an option in the source menu

Are you going to help get this fixed?

I would appreciate a reply on this. It would be the professional thing to do

AUX is activated by changing coding via VAG.

STG 56 (Navigation System) -> Coding -> Function 07

0xxxx?x: Options I
1 - default
2 - Digital-Radio
3 - Satelite-Radio
4 - Satelite- and Digital-Radio
5 - AUX in (US sw 0260+)
6 - AUX in and DAB (Us sw 0260+)

I just picked up my 2008 R8..the Nav DVD is the one that came with the car..

Is this the latest version? do the 2009 models get a newer version?

You need to check the version number of your DVD. Then go to navteq.com and check to see what the latest version is for your car. I was told by Audi they came out with a new version in November of '08.

This is correct ... I received a mailing from Navteq a couple or three months ago advertising the new version
