Interesting that randombloke said there's 30 some million vehicle registrations in the UK...seems to me I just read the State of California has 32+ million registered vehicles (and "only" about 37 million people!). Having trouble getting shoes for that carbon footprint down there yet?![]()

I have 'R8 ROX' which could be for sale. Not set a price yet. It has a lot of sentimental value though...
i saw 'R8 WOW' go recently for less than 500 quid..
Here in Guernsey, our registration marks consist of only numbers with a maximum of 5 digits which are commonplace. Single digit registration marks reach 10's of thousands of £.
My 4-digit registration which is still considered by many to be slightly rare was purchased at auction, they have one or two registration mark auctions each year and I purchased registration mark 3569 for approx £580 inc. fees.
The closest a Guernsey resident could get for an R8 would be registration plate number '8' which I estimate would be in the region of £50k or more.
Good luck with the sale of that plate, I doubt you will get anything over £1k.
Will get over £1k for it, just needs to wait until someone who wants it comes along.
Unlikely.
Th R designation was given to all car license plates issued on new cars in 1997(ish) so there are a lot of them out there. The digits below 50 were generally reserved, so a R8 plate is harder to get to, but you can use the other 2 or 3 digits for something else (0 being o, 4 being A etc.) How about R8 6ONE.
This plate is probably worth much less than £1,000 (I agree with 50p) - but then you never know... having said that, there aren't a huge amount of R8 drivers so the pool of people likely to pay is also quite small....
The DVLC have well over 1,000 R8 suffix plates available: http://dvlaregistrations.direct.gov....er3=&x=64&y=16

Personally I can't see why it would be worth any more that the original DVLC price which I guess was about £400 ?
I paid £400 odd for V10 LED, V10 UXB was still for sale for about the same.
Regards, Graham.
