I would like to pretend that all R8 owners are aware of who we are, but in reality we can probably only count 1-2% of the worldwide ownership as customers. With that in mind, I wanted to give a little background about our company and what might set us apart from other online parts resellers and "Audi" or "R8" specialists.

The OEMplus Team
Our staff is small (usually just Josh and myself), but we have been in the Audi & VW modification business for over 20 years and take pride in providing only the highest quality parts available. We have a real warehouse with real people that you can call, email or visit to ask product questions or for help after the sale.

What We Do
Our website was started in 2004 to fill a void in the marketplace that had been ignored for many years. Most sites sell a few pieces here and there, letting the consumer fill in the blanks for themselves. We decided that complete, end-to-end solutions that include all the hardware for each modification and, when possible, installation instructions were the way to go about modifications.

With the exception of the custom work we do in-house, all parts we supply are Genuine Audi from Audi AG via our depot outside Munich. This is important, especially for a vehicle of this caliber. We also represent PPI Design, MTM and a number of other top-quality German tuners, but NO knock-off or replica products for our customers.

Our R8 Roots
We started working with the R8 before it even hit the US market, sifting through the parts and accessory catalogs to find all the parts that were not available to North American owners. This was during the carbon shortage driven by the US Military and Boeing consuming the global supply of carbon fabric to make protective vests and 787 aircraft skins, so many of the 2008 vehicles were not available with any carbon packages on them. We really got off the ground by offering these hard-to-find parts as complete retrofits for customers that had their vehicle de-contented by Audi AG prior to shipment from Germany. The rear foglamp and EU-spec (amber) rear lights were also a big hit.

The "Competition"
There are a number of online resellers out there that will copycat and list all the same parts that we do, but don't know about all the little screws and bits that make the end result a polished and professional experience. We are not always the cheapest game in town, but with a vehicle like this it pays to go with someone that can walk the walk. There are often 2-3 vehicles here at a given time for various projects, so you can take comfort in the fact that we know how everything works and can support your install.

Our Current Position
From an importer/reseller, we have expanded into providing custom solutions for our local (and not-so-local) customers, including paint, interior, suspension, wheels, exhaust and, most recently, supercharger systems. I feel comfortable saying that we probably have more diverse experience with the R8 chassis than any other tuner.

We regularly ship to every corner of the world from our depots in Germany and the US; including Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, Europe/UK, Russia and South America, so don't think we can't help you if you're not a Yank.

Our Customers
There are a number of customers on here than can chime in about our customer service and product quality. I know that plenty of them have my personal cell number and I try to make myself available as much as possible.

There are also some here that can pull back the curtain and tell you some not-so-good stories, which is fine. We are only human and can admit that sometimes shipping delays or other circumstances can foul the experience, but I will also say we go out of our way to ensure that everything works out.

The Nutshell
What is boils down to is that we love to work on cars and help people build their dream machine. We are lucky that we can make a living at it and support the community as a whole.
