New Product: Full-Drape Indoor Cover

Hi All,

For those of you that don't like the standard stretch-satin cover, we have found one off another model that compliments the R8 VERY nicely.

It is black w/silver piping and over-sized Audi rings on the front. It is cut a little loose and drops fully to the floor all around the car, rather than hugging the chassis tightly like the regular red/silver version.

Price is slightly higher ($455 vs. $395) but we like it a lot more. Click any of the photos to order.

So is this actually for the A8 or maybe the S5?

It is off the A5/S5, but not the normal version from the accessory catalog.

So Rich, you know I'm a customer and I love your stuff, right? But this is just a cover for the wrong car, that doesn't fit. I think perhaps the emperor has no clothes!

I take this as the constructive criticism that it is. Don't worry. In person, I think it looks great. Were it not for the silver piping, I think it would be a no-brainer...

Silver piping and "RINGS" is sweet. Nice choice for my next cover. The piping almost follows the R8 body lines. Mirrors fit rite in too ...but these covers stretch quite a bit. I hope you don't pick up any dirt there.

Rich, do you carry any covers that are padded or are made of thicker material that might fit the R8?

We have not found a cover that is better than the factory version. This particular cover (the black one above) is not as insulated as the silver/red R8-specific one (below)...

I have both of the covers made by Audi; the inside version and the all weather version. The inside version does have a soft flannel-like lining compared to the all-weather cover but it's far from what I would consider padded. Re: the black one, I do understand the rationelle behind draping. Every time you S T R E C H that cover on, you're grinding dirt into your clear coat, if your car isn't perfectly clean. The black one makes sense but does not have the fitted look.
