Australian enthusiasts - looking for SC installation

We have been contacted by a several R8 owners from down-under who would like to have our R8 8cyl supercharger installed and want to have local support.

Some units are going to be fitted in Brisbane and we are in contact with 2 facilities there who have forced induction experience and 4wd dynos in house.

To help reduce the cost of sending a VF tech to train and approve the Australian installation facility(s), we wanted to gauge for further interest in Brisbane or any other cities. If you are in OZ or NZ, please feel free to drop me a line to discuss nik@vf-engineering.com

Here it is, much anticipated in black.

    Thanks for the posting Nik.

If there are any OZ R8 owners interested.. Nik has indicated that our fitted price could be more advantageous with a group install instead of a 1 off single purchase.

I know that the installers Nik is having some discussions with have a reputable and solid history in these types of installations thus providing the most important aftercare and back up.

Nik.. considering our dollars are pretty close in value are you able to give any approx pricing as yet.

We look forward to the opportunity to travel to Australia and the sub continent to mingle with fellow R8 enthusiasts!

Although we are not responsible for the workmanship performed outside our R&D center, the facilities we have researched have a seasoned history of creating and maintaining custom forced induction systems for their local clientele. I will be communicating with Gary directly to discuss our arrangements and I suggest others may contact him too, to synchronize and gauge a comfort level and schedule. We are currently looking to set a date.

To give you an idea of the procedure, our technician will be flying to Brisbane to train/assist the local performance facility. We will provide them with

    - the data acquisition software that we used for product development and vehicle diagnostics.
    - OEM training manuals for the R8 and technical PDF documentation.
    - direct cell phone and web video conferencing access to our technician that designed the VF-Engineering supercharger in California.

Our tech will train them for :-

    - pre-install checkup, dyno and data log and analysis with VF R&D center (USA)
    - product acquaintance and understanding of design
    - product diagnostics and spare parts
    - product installation, in depth step by step
    - common R8 traits
    - road test and dyno
    - data log and analysis in conference with VF R&D center (USA)

The installation facility will be provided with basic spare parts and our product documentation with product specifications so they may provide support for local VF R8 owners. This may all make the product sound complex and in depth, but it is not. It is in depth because of the level of attention to detail. The supercharger is relatively simple to maintain and allows for ease of engine factory maintenance such as oil change access and other service systems.
