At this time - there is no way to do any embroidery in the Carbon or the leather as the thickness and finish does not allow it.
These mats are extremely durable and an alternative to Weathertech (which they don't have for the R8) and much nicer !

Yes they are very unique. They will not scratch or peel and can be washed with water and microfiber! You can literally High pressure wash them if you want! No damage will occur.

Additionally you can go with lighter leather colors, and if they get a bit dirty, simply wipe them off!!
