The original wheels are forged, which is why you get the very low weights. The fronts are only 21.5 lbs each!

The 18" wheels in the OP are the correct EU-spec R8 wheels. We have seen them on a car at Neckarsulm and they are listed in EKTA accordingly.

As mentioned, if you're looking for light, go with spare 19" wheels and maybe dress them up by picking the titan finish.

Which dealer did you get these from? I'd like to see them loose for myself...

In the German R8 book it lists (a not very pretty) 18" wheel from the factory with Summer and Winter tyres.

I don't know if I have "a good solution" but FWIW, last night I borrowed a set (well one front, one rear) Team Dynamic or Dynamics Pro 1.3 5x112 wheel to test fit to the car. Unfortunately the widest size at the moment available is 10" which is the very lower width limit for most 295 section tires. FWIW, the wheels in question are 18x9 ET 15 and a 18x10 ET25.

I need to go have a 295/30-18 (although if it works, I'd probably prefer runing a 295/35-18) put on the rear wheel. I don't have pricing on the Team Dynamic wheel, but I would expect it to be substantially less than the Audi OEM alternatives. I'll try to get a weight on the wheel when they pull the old rubber off and put the 295 on.

For winter wheels, safest and probably best choice is to go with the Audi winter wheel per the thread above.
