I have tried them on a European spec car and love them. This is great news. Anybody have more specific details?

They are supposedly offered as an option on the 2011 cars. We have the new order guide at the office and I'll check tomorrow...

If Ceramic Brakes are an option on the '11 cars, what would be their price? And for those of us who are new to Ceramic Brakes, that includes me, what are the benefits? And if you are a daily driver and not tracking it, is it still worth the money?

I put in an order for 2011 V10 and there was no option listed for ceramic brakes...maybe the option will become available before final order confirmation??

Same boat as EJCR8. They weren't in the order guide my dealer had. I'll be pissed if they're offered a couple months from now.
Porsche charges over $8,000 for them. Audi will probably charge close to that amount. Their main advantage is less unsprung weight, and possibly a longer rotor life. My gt3 RS is in, I decided not to get them mainly due to the cost.
I hope they would give longer rotor life. My front steel rotors had to be replaced at 17,000 miles along with the brake pads, as the dealer said Audi rotors cannot be turned and have to be replaced with the pads.
Just looked through the Order Guide for 2011. No mention of the carbon rotors...

Right. I would be wary of the carbon rotors if extensive track time is planned due to possible cracking issues. Perhaps that has been solved but it has been a problem for some in the past.
As far is I know the main advantages of carbon brakes are a much longer service life, weight, and the cool factor. I track my cars from time to time and would love to have the carbon brakes, but I won't be getting them even if they become available in the US. The standard brakes are very good, so I doubt the ceramics would be 10k better for me. Also, I really can't afford to do 10k brake jobs with any regularity if they crack from track use.
