R8 Wheel Spacers - Recommendations?

Hi Guys,

I'm after some wheel spacers for the R8, just wondering what recommendation on size if anyone know?

15mm Rear 12mm Front?

HRE the Suspension people have 'em in all sizes.Make sure you get the concentric type.I put 10 mm all the way around.You should get the tire sizes you will run first.I played it safe by going same size all around.You can alter the Factories fine handling if you're not carefull. Once I put wide spacers on my 911.then for some reason I tried the car with spacers on the back only and the car became unmanageable. My 2 cents. \"/

I think the 10mm looks great on harrison's car, but a 12mm set should be fine too. Don't forget the longer bolts.

Not to correct, but I think he was referring to H&R (the suspension folks) and not HRE (the wheel folks).

Yes Rich, I did mean H&R . I really like my 10 mm size. Fortunately I WILL BE ABLE TO CONTINUE WITH 'EM.

Are the spacers only for custom rims?

Harrison you got any "down the side" pictures of your car? so I can see the offset of the wheels against the edge of the car body. Would you say 10 is perfect, I was thinking 12mm all around,

he has different wheels on his car now (the offsets are a tad different I think, but very close). You may be able to find some picts in his gallery . He used the spacers with his black chromed wheels too. 2mm is pretty much nothing, so I would not expect much of a difference.

Spacers are great for OEM wheels as well as the custom ones. We often add 8mm-12mm spacers to cars in order to push the wheels out a bit. This improves the track for more stability and give a more aggressive look to boot...
