I had one of the first '08 R8's in Dallas when they first came out. I just traded it for a V10 Spyder.
My '08 only had 10k miles on it and I went through 2 full sets of tires but I never had a blow out, just wear and tear.
In the first week in my V10, I hit a pothole (not a very bad one honestly) and it blew my tire. (P-Zero on V10 Michelin's on V8)
I have a friend who has a V10 coupe and he has had issues with blowouts also.
I am wondering if it is just bad luck or something to do with the suspensions, rims or tires on the V10 that this may be more common.
On a separate note, I did pay $1450 for the wheel protection program that they offered for wheel and tire protection. A new P-Zero is $430.
Any thoughts?
