I looked for something like this a year ago and nothing would work with the magnetic ride suspension. I too would be interested in more information as well.

The R8 min clearance is listed as 4.3 inches, 109 mm, depending on how much tire thread you have left.

There was some discussion about the PPI system on this forum from a few years back. If I recall, the OEMPLUS guys said that they had done an install and there were some pricing listed. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the thread anymore. May be some more senior members can point us to the right place.

    However, google revealed this:

I would be interested as well since I've already gouged my front bumper, and that's even when using the ramps I built so I can get the car into my garage.

    Hey Radius,

I saw this recently that mentions if fits the R8. Who knows, but maybe you can be the first to find out!

Eeek this looks like it will need some major hacking of the car. Also, where would one put that huge air tank? Granted, it's pretty cheap until you realize how much it would cost to fix after a blotched install.
Reliability seem to be questionable also.

I exchanged messages with Gigharbor about the shocks over a year ago and they do NOT work with the Mag ride system of the R8.

Hi received the HLS ( High Lift Suspension ) from PPI it's made by KW ,it's got hydraulic oil tank, and 4 coil springs and Actuators 4 nos ,with wireless remote , need to be fixed with care without leakages ,I better do it in Audi Workshop ,
It's essential in India and it's the minimum ground clearance we need to have 145mm,
Lamborghini has got this system ,

Re: Any info on hydraulic lift system?

I chatted with a KW rep at the Waterfest show in NJ last weekend. He indicated that the HLS system with their coilover setup would indeed provide ~1.5 inches worth of lift. There was a white V8 r8 with the front system installed at the show, but i was unable to see it in action.

You have the option of getting just the front, or front and rear. However the hydraulic fluid tank must be mounted securely, and in this car it was inside the trunk/boot. IIRC, his very rough estimate was somewhere between $8-12k depending on the setup.
