Yup. they seem to be coming through now.


Spoke to the R8 team today at the Rockigham event. Shocked to hear my car is in production at present and will be ready in UK 2nd/3rd week of August.

This is 6 weeks earlier than originally anticipated.

However, a bit disappointed that the factory collect option will not be up and running in time.

The dealer has agreed to hold it for registration on 1st Septrember to get the new plate.

dumb question- what is build week 44 ??

The 52 week year is divided in "build weeks", which are weeks during which the factory manufactures.

Not 100% sure how many Audi "build weeks" there are in a year, since the factory has a shutdown in August and at Christmas.

Perhaps 47 - 48 ?

Either way, build week 44 should be sometime in November.

Kreso - any ideas ?

I'm told that build week 44 *should* mean delivery 'mid December'.

That's sounds about right,

My car is in production at present and I was told around 23rd August for my dealer to have ready for me = 3-4 weeks from production to UK delivery to customer.
