Auctioning off position slots

Has anyone heard of people selling the positions in line at the dealership? I am located in the southeast US and I'm interested in whether people are doing this or have done this.

i had to sign an agreement that i could not sell the car until i own it (cant sell or assign my "position")- so i would have to pay the sales tax and fed taxes (guzzler) first-
would have to be a pretty big markup to make it worthwhile

'00 (initial year) honda s2000
'05 bmw 330 cic
'08 (initial year) audi r-8 (deposit 11/06)
and several beater cars!!
