the first car on the west coast will be an all black special order for a dealer with manual tranny and cf blades (i was told that they are not gonna be an option in the u.s.)- expected here late this week.
then they should come rolling in!!
(25 a month for the entire country is what i was told...)

My dealer says: First wave of cars will be delivered end of Sept through Dec to the largest volume dealers (LA, Dallas, etc). The Second wave will be Jan through March which is when I will be getting mine (Oklahoma City). Even though I'm first on the list in Oklahoma, I'll be in the second wave. I was told yesterday, by an Audi rep, that my dealer will recieve their first (mine, blk/blk w/cf) R8 on Sept 4th...
He says the Dallas area dealerships (3) will each get one in Sept and one more in Dec.
