My dealer is letting me pull the ECUs and they will be picking them up to send to Stasis. Does anyone have step-by-step instructions on how to get them out?

dumb question from me: why won't you let the dealer take care of the whole thing??

Not a dumb question at all. I have a 300 mile enthusiast drive this coming sunday. The wrap won't be done until thursday and the dealer would need to keep the car for three days because they will be sending the ECU out - which means I would have to bring it to them next week.
I'm putting the BMC filters in tonight at the shop where the car is being wrapped. Being that my dealer said they would just grab the ECUs from me and send them in I thought I would get them out of the car while I was working on the filters and reinstall them when I pick it up.
I don't "need" the extra power for sunday's drive, but wouldn't mind it![]()
Yea if I could have removed ECUs myself I would have preferred that over leaving my car at dealership for a week. I would think with proper instructions should not be that hard, but wonder if they use any special security type screws? Also make sure car is up to date on software updates before doing. You will love the tune, totally changed my car

I just received instructions (Thanks Alex!) and the only thing I'm concerned about is that it says that one set of bolts needs to be heated before removal. I don't think I've read anything about having to heat them up if slotting them to use a screwdriver.
just curious, how much does this tune cost and what does it offer in terms of performance gains?

Tune is around $2500 retail and gives a bump to around 555-560hp as well as tq gains.
BTW, this was a total PITA to do. Slotting the bolts with a dremmel was the way to go, but it took a while as the bolts are soft and there's a fine line between deep enough to get a purchase with a screwdriver and cutting completely through the head. Nonetheless the ECUs are out and my dealer picked them up this morning to send them to Stasis. If all goes well I'll have the car back in my hands friday. We also installed the BMC filters last night - after we pulled the ECUs, so I couldn't start it up. I'll report back with photos in another thread when the project is completed.
I thought the bolts holding the ECUs were 'tamper-proof'. You may need to order some new bolts for the re-install of the ECUs? Looking forward to hearing what you think after the tune.
