Auto-starting Radio/Hifi

I might be really missing a trick, but I can't find an option to stop the radio auto-starting with the car in my R8. I don't know if it's a generic Audi thing...

What I mean by that is as you turn on the ignition, even if the radio had previously been off as you turn it on it's back playing again. Whether that's radio, ipod or whatever source you were on before.

Is there an option for this somewhere that I've missed? In my situation I switch it off as I park normally and I don't like it coming on again as I go to move out of the space and would rather turn it on myself!

the most common work-around seems to be selecting an unused input source eg aux.

How stressful, and how simple to fix but evidently not done. Frustrating.
