    Purchase Advice: 2011 R8 V10 Coupe with 19,xxx miles for $121.5K?

Been thinking about getting an R8 for a while and just found this one (http://www.britishmotorexotics.com/2...CA/vd/11640463). Seems like a pretty good deal except for the high miles. Got dealer to $121.5K and was thinking that is pretty decent. I know the 2013s are coming out soon, but not sure how much that will impact pricing.

    All input appreciated.

That seems like a pretty decent price. If the car also had CF interior and CF engine bay, it would then be a "great" price. I really wouldn't let the seemingly high mileage weigh too heavily on your decision. These cars are meant to be driven. As for the 2013s, jury's still out on whether S-tronic really is better than R-tronic. I've driven plenty of Audi S-tronic cars, and I remain unconvinced. Other's will differ, I'm sure.

Just buy the car...you'll love it.

Thanks, was originally looking for a Spyder but the looks of the coupe grew on me. Something about seeing that beautiful V10 engine under the back cover. Going to stop by the dealership tomorrow and if everything checks out this will be my new car. Throw an extended warranty on it and should keep me happy for a few years to come.

It was also surprising how little it costs to insure the R8 as well. called and was told it was only 2.5x more than my $20K daily driver.

Turns out it had the CF engine bay. Bought it today and it will be mine after they finish detailing it on Monday. Super Happy.

That's great. Congratulations! You're now the owner of one of the few truly all-weather supercars. I'll be throwing on my winter tires soon and still enjoying this car while most of its rival cars will probably have to be put away for the next few months. And yes, do post some pictures up when you have a chance. (R8 looks best in photos where the camera is held at or below the roofline. )

Unfortunately, that isn't the case up here in Canada.

But of course, I got it on mine...along with CF mirror housings, and the CF interior.

Congrats on the purchase olouie. Just as a reference since the ad is no longer there, what was their original asking price?
