Most boring second ride?

Was thinking the other day, I have an R8, wow what a car, but my second car is a VW Golf 1.6 Diesel Bluemotion.

How, different can you get, one has 0-60 in 4.6 seconds and the other is 11.3 seconds, bhp 414 compared to 105 on the Golf.

Does anyone else have such a big difference between their two cars?

Driving a diesel definitely makes you change gear in the R8 far too early, bad habits are easily formed.

One of my other cars is a Fiat 500! It's such a different car from, er, pretty much anything else! But I love it. It's THE car to drive around in when you live in a suburb with as many terrible drivers and as many shopping malls with tight parking spaces as I do.

Ha! I thought for sure I had you beat Andy for largest 0-60 difference between my daily driver Hummer H2 ( 6 inch lift with 40's and deep dish Fuel Octane wheels) and my weekend toy R8 V10 ...But it turns out the H2 can hit 60 in under 11 seconds...lol..not too bad for a 6,000 lb tank!

My wife has a Town and Country minivan. Offered to lease her a Q5 and she says no. Like the freakin mini-van for garage sales and toting her sisters around. In fact, Saturday Volkswagon dealer offers me a $45K Tourag for $450/month on a lease nothing down. Call her on the phone and she says nope, loves her minvan. Just doesnt care about vehicles.

See now you say the golf is boring but one thing I have found lately is (have a C250 merc hire car atm) less performance cars are more fun on normal roads take a R8 down most twisty roads your breaking the speed limit to and your still not close to the limit where as a normal car is pretty fun keeping it on the road at 60mph

Toyota FJ for me, sure it's slow compared to R8 but much better than 11 sec 0-60, and nice being able to park anywhere I want
