Need advise about sound system. Need more bass!

Hey all,

As the titles says, i'm looking for more bass in my car (2009 r8) and was wondering what some of you have done? I love the bang & olufsen clarity but the bass is not enough

Please share your thoughts and suggestions.

I don't think there are many factory stereos that have adequate amounts of bass. You could do something like this...

Huh, I actually find the stock B&O setup to be way too bass heavy. Anyway, the ledge behind the seats would probably be a good spot to add a subwoofer and amp (or one of those active subwoofers)... as SebringSilver's photo shows.

You can easily reduce the bass, too.

I really thought that most of you would have upgrades. I'm simply comparing to my wife's jeep srt8 and the sound system she has. Its clear (not as clear as B&O) and bass is great!

Hmmm, alright i think i will look for a simple amp + subwoofer to add maybe between the seats behind the passenger.

I know it's a bit obvious, but have you played with the (limited) EW settings? A long time ago I used to install sound systems professionally, and rocked a 90-litre sub in the boot of my car. The R8 will never start block parties like that, but the bass turned up is very decent inside the car.

Most of us do not buy this car with the intenion of craking music in, for one thing we want to keep the weight down and not start adding things. My Tubi gives me all the Bass I need
